Last updated: February 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how BarsVision ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform and services (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the Service
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Log data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs

1.3 Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store payment information. All payment processing is handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.) directly. Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your payment data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your audio files and generate video outputs
  • Manage your account and provide customer support
  • Send you important service-related communications
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Processing

3.1 Audio Processing

When you upload audio files, they are processed by our AI pipeline to generate video content. Audio files are temporarily stored during processing and are not used for any purpose other than providing the Service to you. We do not use your audio content to train AI models.

3.2 AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to analyze audio and generate animated video content. The AI processes your audio to extract features like tempo, beats, and mood, then generates visual elements accordingly. Generated content is stored temporarily and made available for you to download.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Paddle.com: our payment processor and Merchant of Record, who handles billing, invoicing, and tax collection
  • Service providers: third-party services that help us operate and improve the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, AI processing)
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, regulation, or legal process
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data: retained until you delete your account
  • Uploaded audio files: temporarily stored during processing, then deleted within 30 days
  • Generated videos: available for download for 7 days after generation, then deleted
  • Log data: retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes

After account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
  • Secure password storage using industry-standard hashing
  • Regular security assessments
  • Access controls and authentication for internal systems

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: request your data in a portable format
  • Objection: object to certain processing of your data
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, providing additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
